This painting is very close to how I feel when I stand in front of the sea and just watch the sky change. I didn’t want to paint a perfect sunrise or sunset, but more of that in-between moment where the light struggles to break through the clouds. The soft pinks, browns, and greys carry both calm and mystery. It feels heavy in some places, but there’s also that glow in the middle which brings hope.
When I look at it, I see a horizon that’s quiet yet alive, where the sea and sky almost blend into each other. The water doesn’t roar, it just rests — reflecting whatever the sky is going through. It’s that kind of silence where you pause, take a deep breath, and allow yourself to feel both the storm and the peace together.
